~It was a nice and very busy weekend and while I had a ton of fun I am happy to be sitting in my recliner typing this post in the comfort of my own basement~
What a weekend! It has been a few days since I last posted because Cary and I were busy sipping on margarita's Thursday night and then the weekend hit fast and next thing I knew it was Sunday so here I am, catching up on what has been going down.. SO back to Thursday.. On Thursday my mom and I met with our reception coordinator and got some things planned out which felt good.. I am starting to really be able to visualize the day and it is so exciting! Watch out William and Kate! this wedding is going to be gorgeous!
On Friday Cary cooked me the most amazing dinner, steak, baked potatoes, and veggies with red wine :) see how lucky i am! and we just relaxed on the deck til dark and had a couple drinks. It was a farewell evening because Cary headed out of town at the crack of dawn on Saturday morning to go on a golf weekend with one of his friends. We haven't spent much time apart ever so I of course missed him like crazy, but he had a great time and I had a busy weekend ahead of me so it was a good opportunity for him to go. So my Saturday consisted of a hectic morning of getting Lucy and my two dogs ready to head to my hometown for my shower! It was a great shower and I received so many awesome gifts! Thank you to everyone who came, it was a wonderful day :) I felt so loved and fortunate to have so many great friends and family show up! (I also got to snuggle my new nephew Holden(mentioned in prev. post) and that was one of the highlights of my day)
After the shower I had some good bonding time with my sister Alyssa who is also my maid of honor but I don't get to hang out with her enough so she biked with me while I ran and then we took the dogs for a long walk. After that we went out to dinner with some other family members and then just relaxed at my parents the rest of the night with Angee. Any weekend that consists of sister time is the way I like to spend them!
After a long day Saturday I finally got to bed late with my little Lucy who insisted that I rub her leg all night and when I would finally think she was asleep she'd say "Mom? why you stop rubbing my leg?" so then I would start again and when we were both finally asleep it felt like only a minute and sunshine was coming through the window and Lucy was up for the day! Oh well though, she is the best cuddler and I haven't slept with her forever so it was nice to wake up next to her beaming smile :) We got all cleaned up for the day and went to church and then ate a mother's day lunch at my parents and then headed back home. Lucy passed out in the car and slept til after 6 PM and by then my Cary was finally home! I missed him so much and it was exciting showing him all the fun gifts we got from the shower! He loved everything of course especially the rope lights! (thanks Dani!)
The weekend is almost over now and I have got to get my hiney in gear this next week on my list! I have soo many party favors to finish and my program needs written so if you all don't see a list with some lines through it this week please get on me! Sorry for the short post, I promise to get back on task tomorrow!
